We were so proud to be interviewed for a feature on Palm Beach Live Magazine. http://www.palmbeachlivemagazine.com/default.aspx?p=398 Put a ease, immediately, by our award winning host Gloria Kisel-Hollis, we had a chance to talk about the second season of our German reality TV show, “Doener Dream in West Palm Beach, Florida” seen on VOX network. She was so professional it was easy to have fun during an extensive taping session done on location in our Clematis Street set. Thank you Gloria and Gregory S. Ratner, who handled all technical and video. — with Robert L Kemp and 7 others at E.R. Bradley’s Saloon.

Safety Harbor Kids Becomes Community Partner of Pepperdine’s

University Guardian Scholars Program

Safety Harbor Kids is pleased to announce its partnership with the Guardian Scholars Program at Pepperdine University’s Seaver College. This program, in conjunction with Safety Harbor Kids Academic Achievement Program, will help orphans and foster children have a chance to get into a good university after academic achievement in high school.

This seems like a perfect match as Safety Harbor Kids Academic Achievement Program is designed to prepare teenagers for college and Pepperdine’s Guardian Scholars program is designed to help them get into college and graduate. “We know that 70% of the foster youth wish to go to college, and that very few will ever the chance to pursue their academic goals. Safety Harbor Kids and Pepperdine University are taking steps to help these kids achieve their dreams,” says Petrie Alexandra Williams, President of Safety Harbor Kids.

The speech’s from the staff at the restaurant were really inspiring and make me want to go through with my intended College plans “Darin, Foster Child, age 14.

The facts are that only 10% of those deserving children will ever enroll in college and only 2-3 percent will graduate. At eighteen 80% will end up homeless and more than 50% will end up in prison. Safety Harbor Kids Events and Programs are designed to change this sad reality.

In doing so, Safety Harbor Kids is proud to announce their 6th Annual College and Career Day to benefit 20 at risk teens. This event is designed to help orphans and foster children get into college and choose a career. This is a luncheon with speakers for teens ages 15-17 with speakers covering topics including foreign language, financial aid and choosing a major. Career topics include job skills, completing applications, internships, networking and ethics. Event sponsored by Houlihan Lokey, Duke’s Malibu, Circle K at UCLA and Safety Harbor Kids.

“In seven years at the home, I have never seen such a dramatic change upon these children after they attended your events” JC Mazdar, director at Hathaway-Sycamores foster home.

“All of your work is so needed and we are grateful for all you do… With gratitude for all you do for Malibu and our world.” Pamela Conley Ulich 2010 Mayor of Malibu California

About Our Cause

Croped Group Shot Geoffreys

We are Safety Harbor Kids, a Malibu non profit 501c3 enriching the lives of parentless and homeless children in the areas of College, Career and the Arts.  Safety Harbor Kids currently serves more than 2,000 needy children in 14 group homes and shelters in and around Los Angeles.
Our Vision
is to break the vicious cycle of homelessness, poverty and prison that has ensnared so many of the disadvantaged children living all around us.
Our Purpose
is true as our Founder, John Williams, was himself a parentless child who grew up in Malibu.  Renting a room while working to put himself through high school and struggling to survive at the age of 16, John vowed to succeed so that he could help other children, like himself, who did not get a fair start in life.
Our Plan
is to build a College, Career and the Arts Education Center in Malibu where disadvantaged children can acquire the resources to get ahead in life -just a chance is all they need to help them succeed.  Together, we can give it to them.  Without your help, 80% of foster children will become homeless and 60% will end up in prison.   Safety Harbor Kids is set up to help these kids, but we need your help. Please join us in helping the disadvantaged children in our area have a chance at a decent life.

We have three ways for you to support this worthy cause:

Become a Member of Safety Harbor Kids:

Click here to Become a Member Today For $50 (individual) or $200 (family) you can support our mission to provide music, art, college funding and jobs to more than 2,000 disadvantaged children in our areas.  SHK membership also includes invitation to all of our events throughout the year for you and your family to share the gift of giving.

For less than a dollar a day ($350 annually), you can join the leaders in our community and sponsor a child for the year. Your sponsorship provides a child with a holiday basket and brunch, a backpack filled with school supplies, a gift and stocking for Christmas and access to our College, Career and the Arts programs.

Sponsor a Program or Event:

Several times a year around the Holidays, SHK provides needy children with education and support in tutoring, career development and internship, music, art and personal growth through our Enrichment Programs.  For $5,000 to $25,000 you can sponsor an Enrichment Program in your name.  As a community benefactor, your sponsorship of a Program or Event will make a significant difference in the lives of many children.  This includes a namesake, special recognition at events, in the newspaper and optional national television campaign.

Experience the overwhelming feeling of gratitude that lonely and hungry children have when they feel and believe that someone actually cares about them.  The love and hope that your donation creates is priceless and your reward is the knowledge that you have indeed made a difference in the life of a needy child.

She reunites with her friend Penelope Saint (Natasha Blasick), an actress with too few castings and enlists her in a plan to take over Hollywood.

Together they make a plan to produce their own film called The Brentwood Girls to get more attention. They plan the casting for it. Lots of glamour, celebrities, charm, intrigues, conflict, betrayals, tears, dishonesty, talent, comedy, romance and hijinks collide in this slide to the top. Their goal is to get an academy award; and they’ll do whatever it takes to make it happen.
